In my opinion, no. This game has a ton of issues including inconsistent characters, limited/short gameplay, ugly visuals/models, bad story elements, and overall it felt really rushed. I could go on with each problem but it'd take me forever to write them all down. Yes, Clem is a side character in this game.

Yes, it's canon to the comics since it's in the same universe but not the show. Even Robert Kirkman even aided in the production of the series.
