Crankshaft Position sensor
Note: In the bottom of the 2.3L drawing says Trottle Position (TP) Sensor, this is wrong, It should say CKP Sensor. The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located to the left of the crankshaft pulley. The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located just behind the crankshaft pulley on engine block. The cost of the sensor is $23 bucks at AutoZone.
It is located next to the harmonic balancer or crankshaft pulley. Here are pictures and instructions to replace it. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the bolts and the right front lower splash shield. 3. Remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the bolt. Remove the sensor.
