Here's info from another thread posted by "low fuel". Ok first you are going to need the gaskets to replace the old ones with: EGR gasket : ETKA PART NO: 03G 131 547 F. EGR cooler pipe gasket: ETKA PART NO: 069 131 547 D. They cost £ 6.00 and your local vw/audi parts dept will have them.

My 2012 A6 C7 3.0tdi quattro was leaking coolant into the v which gradually went from topping up every couple of months to every trip. I could strip the top of the ***** engine with my eyes closed now, I replaced all gaskets then replaced oil cooler with no improvement it ended up being the coolant regulating valve part number 059121737.

Just came back from the dealer and they said it was bad. I have had no warning lamps come on yet. Kind of spendy from the dealer and I am pretty sure I can do it.
