The video file size is limited to 4 gb. It runs into that limit pretty quickly at the 1920x1080 and 1280x720 settings - 12 min. max. per the 60D instruction manual (p. 181). The optics of the Canon EOS 60D receive a score of 43/100. This camera features 18 megapixels, a shooting speed of 5.3 frames per second, and a CMOS sensor. It is equipped with a Digic 4 processor, a DXOMARK score of 66 for the sensor, and an APS-C sensor size. The lens mount is Canon EF-S, but the camera lacks image stabilization. When a DSLR is used for quick video recordings like with a consumer video cam chances are that result will look just like results from a consumer video cam or even worse. So you have to take into account that you need a lot more effort to get good video quality from a DSLR than from a consumer cam. And a good lens of course. Learn which settings are best for filming video with a Canon The 60D replaces the horribly aged 50D, sitting between the pricier 7D ($1900) and T2i ($900) in terms of features and specs, but for $1100 (body only, or $1400 with an 18-135mm kit lens). It's pull up the ML menu, scroll over to the "expo" tab. Highlight the ISO option and click set. then you can scroll through the ISOs using set and the play button. The native ISOs show up in green and the non-native isos show up in yellow. This is on a 60d so im not sure if its different on other cameras. May 16 2012 3:50PM. The 60D is probably best understood as a 'super Rebel.'. It's a more comfortable, more flexible, and faster-to-use version of Canon's justly popular entry-level DSLRs. The twin dial controls, better grip, and bigger viewfinder will delight stills shooters while the articulated screen and movie control will please would-be videographers.
To switch your Canon 60D camera to Playback mode and view the images on your memory card, take these steps: Press the Playback button. At the default settings, the camera displays a single picture at a time, with a row of picture data at the top of the frame. (The image information may be overlaid a bit differently on your LCD.)
Maybe try a side-by-side comparison to see which one has the most features you’re looking for. thanks! yes, thats what ive been doing. on paper, the 90d seems totally worth it. i just donot know practically. One major improvement is dual-pixel autofocus, which makes live view and video a lot better.

Hi . been using 60D for many years and happily making videos. In last 6 months I have found I cannot make videos; as cuts out after a few seconds with message "video recording has stopped automatically"

But to get there, Canon did actually have to "downgrade" a few things on the 60D from the 50D. For example, where the 50D featured a magnesium alloy body, Canon turned to plastic for the 60D. And where the 50D featured Canon's most advanced APS-C AF system, the 60D AF came nowhere close to that on the 7D. The 60D is now desperately dated when it comes to live view and video. Still no Canon mirrorless, no progressive future hybrid, no improvements to image quality, no moire fix, no proper recording format. But at least we DO now have that hinged screen! Thank you Canon – no thank YOU! Seriously going from the GH2 to the 60D, every time I hear 48oP.
