Not sure why people compare the two. Chernobyl is a mini series with five episodes based on actual events. GoT is a series of 72 episodes based on a half finished collection of books. If anything compare the first season of GoT with Chernobyl, not the entire series. I presume you saw Chernobyl on HBO? That's a must watch. It's not a documentary but a 5 part mini-series and it is historically, very accurate. IMO, it's better than a documentary because it shows you the political dynamics inside Russia along with the absolute horrible options they had.10/10.
